Ever since we were children, we’ve all had dreams… to be an astronaut, or an actress, or a veterinarian. As we got older, our dreams became clouded with other people’s ideas of what we should and shouldn’t be doing. This Dreams & Goals work shop is designed to dig deep and ask yourself what you really want in your life; whether that be career, relationships, business, family, friends, hobbies… anything.

Course Schedule:

2 Day Course: August 3rd & 10th (Thursday Nights) @ 6pm


1 Day Course: September 3rd (Sunday) @ 11am

What to expect:

  • Take a good long look at your dreams over the years
  • Ask your heart and soul what it wants through mediation and visualization
  • Explore different ways to set and work with goals to find what works best for you
  • Learn how to navigate road blocks while pursing your dreams

Workshop: The Art of Journaling (Casper, WY)

The Art of Journaling

Journaling has long been recommended as a way to clear mental clutter, understand yourself and your life situations, do a little soul searching and create an awareness of things as they happen around you.  Developing a journaling habit is easier than you think, and the benefits far outweigh any excuses you’ve used in the past!

Course Schedule: Sundays 11:00am – 3:00 pm every week from August 6th – August 27th, 2017 (4 classes)

What to expect:

  • Learn about different types of journals and journaling
  • Work with writing prompts in class and as homework
  • Define what works for you and tailor what’s not to your needs
  • Develop a daily journaling habit

Investment: $245 if registered before July 20th, 2017. Full class rate, $355.00 after July 20, 2017.

On the Wings of Dragonflies

Coaches and spiritual leaders talk about signs. They tell us to ask for them, and the divine will provide. They tell us to be open to receiving them, and we will see them. They don’t happen when your looking, they happen when you’re not.

This morning I walked out my back door to smoke a cigarette; I lit it and settled into a patio chair to enjoy the sun and watch the water shimmer on the grass. I was mesmerized by the water droplets when a dragonfly flitted right by me. I watched him in slow motion as he turned and came straight for me. I blinked and realized it was a sign.

When signs want to be seen, they will be. You won’t miss them.

He hung around me for about 20 minutes, not just in the yard, flying within inches of me. I finally spoke up and acknowledged him, softly telling him that I see him. He flew up to me one last time, as if to tell me thank You for seeing me; then off he flew.

When I finally went back in, I Googled the meaning of seeing a dragon fly; the meaning, courtesy of, is:

  • ”…Change and transformation
  • Adaptability
  • Joy, lightness of being
  • Symbol of the realm of emotions, invitation to dive deeper into your feeling
  • Being on the lookout for illusions and deceits, whether are external or personal
  • Connection with nature’s spirits, fairies realms…”

I have been both stagnant and in motion; restless and at peace. Struggling to maintain a part-time job with full-time hours, building a business, being supportive for friends in need, holding space in my relationship, and just trying to maintain my grounded-ness.

I crave freedom, and yet want roots. I feel weak, but am perceived as strong. I am in a place where everything is up in the air, and yet everything seems in peace. I’ve been here, in this state of stagnancy and flow, so many times in my life I can’t even name them all. It’s the place of calm after the storm. It’s where trauma becomes nothing more than a point in your past (even if it was just yesterday it happened) and now is all that matters.

My little dragonfly visitor reminded me of so many things. His timing was perfect, as all signs are when they arrive, and his meaning hit home.


When trauma happens, and it can be trauma of any kind, know that change and transformation are part of life, an important part of life. Know that the more adaptable you are, the more receptive and less combative to the changes you will be. Know that joy is always a choice we can make, even for a few fleeting moments. Know that the emotions are ready to be processed, not repressed; buried beneath layers of hurt and victimhood. Know that you can control you situation with your choices, avoid letting your ego choose for you. And know that your connection to the Divine and to nature are healing.

This, this is what my little dragonfly visitor reminded me this morning. My 20 minutes of peace came from a lovely little visitor the Divine chose to visit me.

What is a Catalyst?

I’ve recently re-branded myself as a Catalyst Coach. As I am working through this process, pretty much everyone I talk to asks me what a Catalyst Coach is. I try to explain, they listen, and the conversation moves on. Mainly because many people don’t understand what a life coach is, let alone what a catalyst is. I’m both. I am a life coach who acts as a catalyst in someone’s life.

Definition: Catalyst

Let’s get technical for a minute… According to, a catalyst is:

  • Chemistry. a substance that causes or accelerates a chemical reaction without itself being affected.
  • something that causes activity between two or more persons or forces without itself being affected.
  • a person or thing that precipitates an event or change: His imprisonment by the government served as the catalyst that helped transform social unrest into revolution.
  • a person whose talk, enthusiasm, or energy causes others to be more friendly, enthusiastic, or energetic.

More or less, a catalyst is an event, action, or person that sparks a major change in someone’s life.

Life’s Catalyst’s

As a life coach, I am (hopefully) a catalyst that can spark change in your life. However, I prefer for my clients to be their own catalyst; to be their own spark. To dig down deep within themselves and find the strength that they need to overcome any and every situation in their life in order to find freedom and themselves.

Some catalysts are life events, if you are lucky they have a minor impact on your life; others may have a major impact on your life. A minor event might be something as simple as a book falling off the shelf in front of you and you choosing to pick it up and read it, thus causing inspiration and subsequently change. A major event could be losing everything and finding yourself homeless and standing in the middle of a tornado.

My Catalyst

No Joke, it was the day after Christmas in 2015. I was in Texas, homeless, standing outside in the middle of a tornado. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had many catalyst moments before in my life; but this one was the biggest.

I remember having no fear as I stood outside listening to the tornado sirens blaring, watching as one tornado whirled its way across the highway, completely unaware that a second tornado was touching down and creating a path of destruction just a few doors down from where I stood. Outside. In the middle of it all.

While the moment itself is awe inspiring, it’s everything that has happened after that has had a huge impact on me. From choosing myself over a bad relationship to finding peace in being homeless and virtually lost. From living in fear to choosing strength (my own inner strength) and love. From realizing that life is nothing but a series of choices to embracing self-awareness and opening my level of perception.

You Are A Catalyst

You don’t need to stand outside in the middle of a tornado to be your own catalyst. You can be a catalyst in your own life, simply by making the choice to be. You can be a catalyst in someone else’s life, simply by being yourself.

I am a catalyst in my own life, simply because I choose to be. I am a catalyst in my friend’s lives, simply because I am me. I am a catalyst in my clients lives, simply because they choose to work with me (catalyst moment), and because I am me.
